If ever there was a golden age for American engines it must be from the mid 50s when the small block Chevy made its debut, to the early 70s when emission controls brought an end to the muscle car era. The three major manufacturers GM Ford and Chrysler each supported at least one big block and one small block engine during this period which subsequently went on to become automotive legends.

The purpose of this book is to bring together a comprehensive selection of the best and most informative stories on one or one family of engines. It is targeted at todays younger enthusiasts with a view to letting them know what was written about their power units during this exciting period.
